I was about to blog about crocheting with porcelain clay recently and got to thinking about all the other strange/interesting materials I've crocheted with during my long crochet journey!
#Consider Listening to your inner artist and let me know what interesting things you have crocheted with.
Most recently, I got the opportunity to crochet with porcelain clay in a potters studio.Quite some time ago when I worked in an Adult Day Center with clients with dementia, I tried crocheting with porcelain under the guidance of the art therapist. I was pretty pleased with the results.

My friend, the ceramic artist, was intrigued with this concept when I explained it to her and she wanted to try it. Due to her agility with clay, she did so much better than I did on her first try! We had a great two hours, though, just experimenting with porcelain clay and learning about its pros and cons when trying to crochet. Needless to say, we used our fingers, not hooks, for this process!
