Crochet Queen: Royal Ramblings

Today sunshine gave me a boost of positivity; and I want to share it with you! Please tell me how you are doing during this difficult Corona virus-time for our nation and our psyche. Of course, those of us who crochet or craft have that to keep us sane. What are some other good ideas you've heard about or done yourself? I'd love to hear from you. Except for 3 regularly scheduled activities, ladies' lunches and time with my grandchildren, online friends, life hasn't changed much for me. Hmm, uh; well maybe it has changed quite a bit. I am pretty much a homebody and usually content to stay home and crochet, create and read! I am rarely bored because I have a lifelong list of T0-Do crochet projects that will last me an eternity! During this seemingly very odd crisis, I have decided that crochet and television can wait until evening; and I am determined to do some projects that I have been putting off, some for years. I'm so thrilled that my younger daughter, Bethany, came to visit on february 6! We had a great time and I loved showing her my favorite sights and restaurants around town. She was hungry when she arrived, so our first stop was the Hotel & Restaurant Nueva Posada when we were entertained by a large parrrot near our outdoor dining and very outgoing little girl! The Annual Chilli Cookout is a festive event which we attended on Friday. We enjoyed non-stop music, shopping for arts & crafts and a cold soda to quench our thirst from the hot sun before we moved on to a restaurant for lunch. There were plenty of gift for friends back home, and maybe something for ourselves too! I've been on island time since February 1 and have wanted to blog, but somehow could not seem to focus on what I wanted to write. You may even find my post today to be "rambling;" but hey, that word is in the title of my blog; so here goes. I cannot stop the waves from rolling in and back out (nor do I want to); and acceptance of that premise has brought me serenity. Here on the island, I am sandwiched between nature and tourism! I enjoy soaking in the sunshine and fresh breezes equally as much as the culture of tourism. The rolling waves are meditative if I just stop and appreciate them.  They shape the sands, creating scallops, shelves and lines. Hoards of walking humans create patterns with their feet and shoes. I've seen some dolphins, but not as many as I would like. I have to be satisfied with birds, the occasional crab, and kids/adults making sand "castles."
